2. What are the benefits of a Cloud PC?
Remote Access
Cloud computing is based on remote working, traditionally Remote Desktop Services. The concept is that any user within the organisation that has access to a cloud PC, is able to access it from any device in any location at any time over the internet.
The difference now, is that it’s all hosted remotely in the cloud and managed for you, where as typically the infrastructure was usually hosted by the business itself.
Hybrid working
Hybrid working has increased significantly over the recent years, and if your business has had to adapt, then you may find a situation where you are having to provide working solutions for employees inside and outside of the office.
If you have already invested in hardware that doesn’t allow for this scenario, then implementing Cloud PC provides that flexibility, whilst not having to invest in additional hardware. Your users would be able to access their PC from their own devices remotely whilst you can be reassured that your systems are all managed centrally.
Reduced hardware costs
All the resource power needed to power the Cloud PC is hosted in the cloud within Microsoft’s Datacenters. This means the local device you are working on, no longer requires the processing, memory or hard drive resource that it used to.
You are able to reduce your laptop specifications and in turn save on hardware costs and asset depreciation, by choosing lower spec and cheaper alternates that still provide your users with the IT experience they need.
Flexibility and Scalability
Rather than investing in something upfront on the basis that you might grow in the future, you can consume your IT based on what you require right now.
Easily turn on and off when you need to, allowing for business growth and business decline.
Improved security
Knowing that your workforce are spread-out, you will have peace of mind knowing that your IT is managed centrally in the cloud, allowing you to retain full control. We can deploy business wide Anti Virus, and manage system updates so that all users and devices are kept as secure as possible at all times.
3. Is a Cloud PC supported with on premise IT?
Yes – we will support your Cloud PC alongside any existing user environment you have in place.
4. What happens if someone leaves the business?
If someone leaves your business, you can notify us prior to them leaving, so we can ensure all measures are in place to restrict their access to their baseCLOUDPC.
You can reduce or increase your baseCLOUDPC plan as and when you need to. Please note that if you remove a subscription part way through the month, you will still be billed as per your contractual agreement, or up until the end of the same month.
5. Can we mix and match Cloud PC types?
Yes – Cloud PC plans can be mixed.
6. Can we mix with Cloud PC with other services from baseMSP?
Yes – You can mix your Cloud PC plans with our M365 IT Support and small business IT Support.
We can provide you with an easy to understand breakdown of what your subscription costs will look like, if you wish to mix services.
