2. How does baseMSP determine the level of IT Engineering resource?

Understanding your requirements for one of our engineers is key. We will initially engage with you on a consultation call to determine what it is that you need us to fulfil.

 

Once we have this information to hand, we can assess the requirement and categorise which banner the service will fall under. Initially this will confirm your engineer day rate.

 

What we will then look at, is the most suitable engineer to be aligned to the job. Once this is determined a virtual meet and greet will be arranged.

3. Can baseMSP provide more than one IT Engineer?

Yes, we can provide you with a number of engineers depending on your requirements and duration of work.

 

Please specify if you require multiple engineers, to ensure we scope the job correctly.

4. Minimum term and out of hours

The minimum number of days we provide an engineer for is 1 business working day.

 

The rates provided on our website are in hours 9:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday. If you require work to be done out of hours the following applies:

 

  • Monday – Friday – Time and a half
  • Saturday -Sunday – Double Time

 

Please contact us and disclose whether you have an out of hours requirement.

5. Will the IT Engineers be onsite or remote?

Either. This depends on what you require from them, and whether the job can be completed remotely or has to be onsite.

6. What does a Technical Account Manager provide?

When you first enquire with us about our engineering service, you will be allocated a Technical Engineer. It is their responsibility to understand your requirements and discuss with you he type of engineer you will likely need.

 

They will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Understanding your requirements
  • Providing an initial consultation report
  • Appointing your engineer(s)
  • Arranging the virtual meet and greet
  • Providing the Scope of Works report (SOW) completed by the engineer
  • Managing the engineer and overall job
  • Providing daily/weekly job reports
  • Point of escalation
  • Managing the job through to completion

7. What is the IT engineer meet and greet?

After your consultation process where we learn about your requirements, your Technical Account Manager (TAM) will look to align an engineer to your job.

 

Once an engineer has been allocated your TAM will contact you to setup a Teams meeting where you can meet your engineer(s). This is an opportunity to see and talk with the engineer(s) who will be completing all stages of your job for you.

8. What does the consultation report provide?

The consultation report provides you with an overview of the initial conversation and the requirements you have. This is used as the basis of us aligning an engineer to you.

 

If the job specification changes in anyway, we can amend the report to reflect the changes. Once the report is agreed as final, your Technical Account Manager will then align a resource to you.

9. What does the Scope of Works report provide?

The Scope of Works provides detailed information about the job that needs to be completed. This includes:

 

  • Engineer(s) responsible
  • Job introduction
  • Job overview
  • Description of services/goods
  • Task list
  • Deliverables
  • Items out of scope
  • Payment terms & invoicing
  • Period of job
  • Expected outcomes
  • Project management

 

Your scope of works will be provided to you ahead of the commencement date for you to electronically sign and return. Once the job is completed, you will then be asked to sign a completion statement, acknowledging the job as complete.

10. What does the daily/weekly job report provide?

In line with the scope of works, the daily/weekly job report, provides you with a breakdown of what has been completed and when.

 

This also gives us the opportunity to see whether we are on track to complete the work in the agreed timeframe.
